Our story began during Spring 2022 in Houston, Texas. Bao’s parents had a reunion with their old friends from Vietnam, which included Phuong’s parents and Phuong was accompanying them. We met for the very first time, marking the start of our lifelong journey together.

Due to distance, we started off as friends; keeping in touch through texting and calling everyday. Bao visited California for the very first time in Spring 2023 and we spent our time doing all of the corny tourist-y things. We quickly realized we shared a hobby for traveling. Phuong traveled to Texas sometime after to enjoy our first concert ever - Ed Sheeran - an unforgettable memory! We made our relationship official on June 17, 2023, when Bao came to California for the second time and we went wine tasting in Napa. Since then, we took advantage of every opportunity to travel to see each other: spending our birthdays together, BBQ food trip throughout Texas, hiking Mt. Zion, and traveling to new places like Canada and Mexico. We look forward to going on more trips together!

One trip was more special than the others for us. On June 20, 2024, we got engaged in California with both of our families present. The day could not be any more perfect for the elders to bless our engagement and our families to celebrate our love together. It was a joyous trip filled with love, laughter and beautiful memories. We are excited to celebrate our love with you on May 23, 2025!
